Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking a Senior Design Specialist to lead pre-sales engagements, design and price comprehensive ICT solutions, and guide customers through architecture options. The role interfaces with sales, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure solutions meet client needs and delivery standards.

The candidate will serve as a technical lead for WAN solutions, enable self-serve portals, and support the transition from pre-sale to delivery.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in ICT solution design or architecture.
• Tertiary qualification in IT, Engineering/ECE, or equivalent industry certifications.
• Knowledge of network, carriage, and security technology.
• Proven experience in pre-sales or customer-facing technical roles.
• Strong consulting, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to operate in a matrixed environment and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to design solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Design and price solutions using approved architectures and quoting tools.
• Provide advanced expertise on internal toolsets and guiding customers through solution options.
• Support pre-sales processes with accurate and detailed proposals.
• Ensure solutions meet design intent and adhere to standard delivery models.
• Support Enterprise sales teams in detailed design, network access qualification, and handover to delivery stages for fixed carriage products.
• Act as the technical lead for contemporary WAN solutions, educating customers on capabilities and portals.
• Investigate customer ICT environments and design integration strategies for new services.
• Serve as SME on products, services, and processes; share knowledge with sales teams and customers.
• Managed Network Services (MNS): support modifications and changes to MNS solutions.
• Stakeholder Engagement: collaborate to conduct feasibility studies for connectivity projects.
• Customer-Centric Approach: deliver exceptional customer experiences with a service mindset.
• Compliance & Risk Management: maintain adherence to training requirements.
