Job summary

G U M A Architects Pacific OPC in Makati City, Metro Manila seeks a Senior Architect to lead and coordinate design development, documentation and construction drawing packages. You will manage projects and liaise with clients while supervising staff and coordinating with Guam office.

The role requires REVIT and AutoCAD expertise, strong MS Office skills, and extensive experience producing construction documents. English and Filipino language proficiency is essential for this on-site position.

Qualifications

• Must have Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture / Associate’s degree or equivalent with at least 7 years of experience.
• Must have work experience in using REVIT.
• Must have 7+ year experience working with AutoCAD.
• Having experience producing construction documents.
• Enrollment in IDP / AXP and eagerness to meet licensure requirements are a plus.
• Must have and maintain current valid driver license.
• Language: English & Filipino

Responsibilities

SENIOR ARCHITECT

Senior Architects are logical and critical thinkers with an eye for detail and design, and an ability to solve problems efficiently. They are highly organized multi-taskers who embrace flexibility and can prioritize many different duties and projects at once. They have no problem meeting deadlines and are capable of communicating effectively with their clients and working as part of a team.

Function of Job:

Under general supervision of the Architect, to develop/coordinate documents for functional programming, construction cost estimating, design and construction, and to provide design management for a variety of renovations and new construction projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Confer with clients, as assigned, to identify requirements and develop statements of program.

• Prepare preliminary plans/cost estimates based on programmatic requirements.

• Prepare detailed design/construction documents.

• Provide project management for selected assigned projects from preliminary planning through construction administration.

• Assist in the review of design/construction documents prepared by others.

• Select furnishings/finishes for a wide range of applications.

• Provide support to Staff Architect and other administrators on special projects.

• Maintain library of manufacturers' information, samples, and manuals.

• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary to meet the needs and goals of the business.

• Perform other related duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must have work experience in using REVIT

• Willing to relocate: Makati, Ph and/or Guam/Saipan, USA

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture / Associate’s degree or equivalent discipline with at least 7 years of experience

• Must have 7+ year experience working with AutoCAD

• Having experience producing construction documents

• Showing internship and/or professional experience with an architecture firm, preferred

• Must have Intermediate MS Office experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop required, Adobe Illustrator and InDesign preferred.

• Enrollment in IDP / AXP and eagerness to meet requirements for a path to licensure is a plus.

• Must have and maintain current valid driver license

• Language: English & Filipino

Experience:

• REVIT: 5 years min

• AutoCAD: 7 years min

• Microsoft Office: 7 years (Preferred)

• Adobe Photoshop / InDesign / Illustrator: 5 years (Preferred)

Work Environment:

• Must be able to work under pressure and meet set deadlines.

• Staff must be available to work in our Makati Office, Mondays to Fridays, from 7AM to 4PM to coordinate with Guam office.

• Candidate must be self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and within a team environment with strong comprehension, problem solving skills and communication.

• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively for interoffice coordination through emails, chats, phone calls and videoconferencing.

• Must be able to work in an environment that requires constant sitting, bending, climbing stairs, stooping and standing during a shift of eight or more hours as needed based on job site

• Work on computer/laptop and use of keyboard, phone, copy machine, mouse during a shift of eight or more hours as needed

• Work in different room temperatures in and out of the office

• Must be willing to do field work including build measuring, field inspections, and reports.
