Job summary

R Land Development, Inc. in Metro Manila is seeking an Architect to execute architectural planning, design development, and documentation for projects from concept through construction.

You will develop drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and coordinate with consultants to ensure compliant, constructible documentation. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of experience in architectural design and project coordination, with proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of Revit/BIM being a plus.

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities

• Execute the architectural planning, design development, and documentation of assigned projects from conceptual design through construction and project close-out.

• Develop and review architectural drawings and specifications, including plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and presentation materials using AutoCAD and other relevant software.

• Express project briefs into coordinated architectural solutions responsive to site conditions, planning requirements, constructability, cost, and target market.

• Coordinate architectural and engineering requirements with consultants and internal divisions to ensure complete, compliant, constructible, and non-conflicting project documentation.

• Assist in managing consultant coordination and technical submissions, including drawings, RFIs, RFAs, site queries, shop drawings, material / finish proposals, contracts, consultant payments, and other project documents.

• Prepare and review building permit and construction documents, conducting design and quality-control checks for accuracy, code compliance, coordination, constructability, and completeness.

• Engage in project meetings and technical discussions, track action items and decisions, and facilitate the resolution of outstanding project issues.

• Conduct site visits and ocular inspections to verify architectural implementation, assess site conditions, and coordinate the resolution of construction-related issues.

• Coordinate project requirements with QS & Bids, Planning and Engineering, Construction, Admin Operations, Procurement, and other divisions, particularly on design changes, quantities, materials, costs, schedules, and project requirements.

• Monitor architectural deliverables against approved scope, design intent, quality, and schedule, and escrow significant risks, changes, and unresolved technical matters to the Senior Supervisory Architect.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture with Philippine License.

• At least 1-3 years of experience in architectural design and project coordination, preferably in residential and/or mixed-use projects. (recent board passers are welcome to apply)

• Proficient in architectural principles, building codes, permitting, construction methods, and project documentation.

• Proficient in AutoCAD and relevant architectural software; Revit / BIM knowledge is an advantage.

• Strong multidisciplinary coordination and problem-solving skills, with sound understanding of constructability, cost, quality, and project schedules.

• Strong communication and leadership skills, with ability to coordinate teams and guide junior staff.

• Ability to balance design intent with project requirements, constructability, cost, quality, and schedule.
