Job summary

Allegis Group in the Philippines is seeking a Payroll Specialist to provide SME governance and operational support for APAC payroll countries. This senior role acts as the escalation point and final checker to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to controls.

The role combines expert payroll knowledge with hands-on processing, leading RCA, documenting processes, and building capability across the payroll team. Hybrid work is available.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of payroll experience in regional, shared services, or multinational environments.
• Expertise in one or more APAC payroll jurisdictions.
• Experience managing payroll escalations and controls.
• Root cause analysis with sustainable corrective actions.
• Experience creating process documentation and training materials.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation, and controls.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME payroll governance and operational support for APAC countries.
• Validate payroll results, ensure accuracy, compliance, and controls.
• Lead RCA and implement preventive measures to reduce issues.
• Own payroll process docs, SOPs, maps, and governance artifacts.
• Deliver payroll training and support onboarding of new staff.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes, automation, and experience.
