Job summary

The Rothenbury Group is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to support AP activity across a portfolio of Canadian businesses. You will review invoices, maintain vendor accounts, and process payment batches while ensuring accuracy and control.

This full-time, remote role requires experience with Canadian GST/HST, multi-entity environments, and strong communication with vendors and internal teams. Candidates based in the Philippines are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or closely related field.
• Minimum 4 years of accounts payable or accounting operations experience.
• Experience supporting Canadian companies is required.
• Strong vendor reconciliation and discrepancy-resolution skills.
• Experience with payment runs and AP month-end activities.

Responsibilities

• Review vendor invoices for accuracy and completeness.
• Assign invoices to the correct company, ledger account, and tax code.
• Match invoices to POs and other documents.
• Enter and process invoices within established timelines.
• Maintain vendor profiles, payment terms, and banking details.
• Prepare weekly payment batches for management review.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Investigate missing invoices and duplicate billings.
• Support month-end activities and AP reporting.
• Coordinate with teams to obtain missing information and resolve issues.
