Job summary

Offsure is seeking an experienced Accounts Lead & Accountant to oversee daily accounting for an Australian business. You will guide an Accounts Officer, manage reconciliations, month-end reporting, debtors and cash-flow updates, and handle complex issues with management oversight.

The role involves transitioning responsibilities with training and gradual handover, working on-site in Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga, and collaborating with management to improve processes and controls.

Qualifications

• Senior accountant with responsibility for accounting operations, reconciliations, month-end close.
• Degree in Accounting or equivalent professional qualification.
• Strong general ledger, journals, reconciliations, and complex exceptions experience.
• Experience preparing management accounts and clear financial commentary.
• Strong Excel skills and cash-flow forecasting.
• Ability to work independently to deadlines.
• Excellent written and spoken English with professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger records, journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Coordinate month-end close and prepare monthly management accounts with commentary.
• Investigate differences across bank, debtor, creditor, inventory, sales, and purchasing records; resolve issues.
• Prepare financial reports for management with risks and recommended actions.
• Prepare year-end schedules and working papers for external advisers.
