Job summary

Offsure Global Outsourcing INC. is seeking an experienced Accounts Lead & Accountant to oversee daily accounting functions for an Australian client. You will guide an Accounts Officer, handle reconciliations, month-end reporting, debtor and cash-flow updates, and resolve complex accounting issues.

Qualifications

• Five+ years as a Senior Accountant or in accounting operations with reconciliations and month-end close.
• Accounting degree or equivalent professional qualification.
• Strong experience with general ledger, journals, reconciliations and complex exceptions.
• Experience preparing/ supporting management accounts and explaining financial results to managers.
• Proficient Excel and cash-flow forecasting skills.
• Ability to review others' work, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and spoken English for communication with clients and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting for an Australian business and guide the Accounts Officer.
• Maintain general ledger, journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Coordinate month-end close and prepare monthly management accounts with commentary.
• Investigate variances across bank, debtor, creditor, inventory, sales, and purchasing records.
• Prepare concise financial reports highlighting risks, actions, and recommendations.
• Support year-end reporting and external advisers with working papers and schedules.
