Perfecthealth Specialty Enterprises Corporation is seeking a Senior Accounting Officer to oversee daily accounting operations, ensure accurate financial records, and support reporting and compliance.
You will supervise staff, review transactions, assist with budgeting and audits, and help strengthen internal controls, cash flow management, and financial analysis. CPA not required; extensive accounting experience and strong analytical skills are essential.
The Senior Accounting Officer is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting the organization's financial reporting and compliance requirements. This role supervises accounting activities, reviews financial transactions, assists with budgeting and audits, and helps maintain effective internal controls. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead accounting processes while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. A CPA license is not required; however, extensive accounting experience and proficiency in financial management are essential.
Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting records and financial transactions.
Monitor cash flow and assist in managing the company's financial resources.
Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, tax regulations, and government reporting requirements.
Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory agencies during audits and inspections.
Analyze financial data and identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.
Develop and implement accounting procedures and internal controls to improve operational efficiency.
Supervise and provide guidance to accounting staff, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks.
Support management by providing financial information and recommendations for decision-making.
Assist in payroll review and other finance-related activities as assigned.
Maintain confidentiality of financial records and company information.
Perform other accounting and finance duties assigned by management.
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or a related field.
CPA license is not required.
At least 2 years of progressive accounting experience, with supervisory or senior-level responsibilities preferred.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation, and internal controls.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and leadership skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
