Job Summary The Accounting Officer is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring proper accounting treatment of transactions, and supporting timely financial reporting in compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping:

• Record, review, and maintain accurate entries in the general ledger.
• Prepare and analyze journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments.
• Ensure proper classification of accounts and consistency with the chart of accounts.
• Reconcile subsidiary ledgers with the general ledger.

Financial Reporting

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Support closing activities and ensure deadlines are met.
• Prepare schedules and working papers for internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Accounts Management

• Monitor and reconcile Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Review supporting documents for completeness, accuracy, and proper approval.
• Track outstanding balances and assist in resolving discrepancies.

Tax & Compliance Support

• Assist in the preparation of tax schedules and supporting documents.
• Ensure proper documentation for BIR, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants when necessary.

Other Duties

• Provide accounting support to other departments as needed.
• Perform other tasks that may be assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or related field.
• At least 13 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with accounting systems and MS Excel.
• CPA license is an advantage but not required.
