Work-From-Office setup based in Ortigas.
The Senior Accountant is responsible for all aspect of accounting and will aid leadership with accounting related tasks. This individual should possess a high degree of professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail and ideally a medical accounting background.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparation of journal entries for accounting transactions and assisting with the month-end closing activities for corporate entities
- Assist in maintaining the accuracy of the general ledger by preparing and posting journal entries, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting principles.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of various balance sheet and income statement accounts (e.g., cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, etc.).
- Analyze account variances and discrepancies, researching and resolving any reconciling items in a timely manner.
- Identify opportunities to enhance reconciliation processes and contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements.
- Assist with supporting documentation for taxfilings
- Documentation of processes and internal controls
- Other duties supporting the financial management function of the company as required
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience with significant accounting responsibilities
Skills / Specialized Knowledge
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently
- Detail oriented and demonstrates a “can-do” positive attitude
- Ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment
- Self-starter with solid organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities or reprioritization of projects
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
- Excellent skills in MS Excel and Word
- Advanced knowledge in Excel understanding concepts of databases, filtering data use of mathematical, logical statistical and financial functions a plus.
