Job summary

Unified Global, a Silicon Valley–based consultancy, seeks a Senior Accountant with deep US payroll expertise to join our remote team. You will oversee financial reporting, payroll compliance, audits, and planning, while aligning with US GAAP and SOX controls.

The role demands hands-on A/P/A/R, reconciliations, and GL work, plus collaboration with cross-functional teams to strengthen accounting processes. Remote work from the Philippines is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience including payroll responsibilities.
• Hands-on experience with A/P, A/R, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals and GL accounting.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Bill.com.
• Experience with NetSuite is required.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and revenue recognition principles.
• Experience supporting financial close, audits, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Big 4 experience and/or CPA designation preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities including A/P, A/R, reconciliations and GL.
• Process vendor payments and support timely A/P processing.
• Perform A/R reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Record and reconcile accruals, PTO/sick leave, expenses.
• Maintain receipts and supporting documentation.
• Ensure accuracy of financial data through recording and consolidation.
• Prepare and analyze journal entries for assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses.
• Maintain GL accounts and prepare trial balances.
• Prepare balance sheets and income statements; support close processes.
• Assist with internal audits and support external audits and reviews.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, policies, and SOX.
