Job summary

Pavago is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead full-cycle accounting in a remote setting with US client hours. You will manage GL, month-end close, and financial reporting while driving process improvements and automation.

The role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to support audits in a fast-paced remote environment. A CPA/ACCA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4–5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, SAP, or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, conditional formatting, and reconciliation templates.
• Experience managing month-end close and financial reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepaids, payroll allocations, depreciation, deferred revenue, and intercompany transactions.
• Maintain reconciliations across key balance sheet accounts including cash, AR, AP, inventory, and liabilities.
• Lead monthly and quarterly close processes and ensure timely completion within deadlines.
• Prepare monthly financial statements including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards and internal accounting controls; support audits.
• Identify inefficiencies and drive automation and ERP optimization enhancements.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with FP&A, operations, and leadership.
