Extenteam Client Roles is seeking a Senior Accountant for our centralized accounting team. This remote role involves managing day-to-day accounting, month-end close, and reporting while mentoring junior staff.

The candidate should have 4–6 years of professional accounting experience, a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, and strong Excel skills with GAAP/SFAS knowledge. We value attention to detail, collaboration, and a drive to improve processes.

Qualifications

• Strong Excel skills; knowledge of GAAP/SFAS.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting and month-end close functions; record financial transactions.
• Prepare, review, and distribute financial reports.
• Prepare reconciliations, roll forwards, and financial analysis.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, trend analysis, and commentary.
• Ensure internal controls and provide financial reporting to partners.
• Identify opportunities and implement process improvements.
• Lead the accounting team; mentor new hires and drive projects.
• Serve as SME for specialized accounting areas and train others.
