Job summary

1840&Co is seeking a senior accountant to join our growing accounting operations in Makati. The role begins 50% in accounting and 50% in administrative/clerical support for membership, HR, and operations as we bring accounting in-house by 2028.

You’ll manage AR/AP, reconciliations, close processes, financial statements, GL entries, and work with outsourced CPA to scale finance and implement new processes alongside budgeting/reporting initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and practical application.
• ERP experience and proficiency with advanced workbooks.
• Minimum five years of accounting experience.
• Background in nonprofit or cost accounting is valuable.
• Experience in tech or software companies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts receivable and payable with supervision and support to outsource.
• Perform bank reconciliations and month-end/year-end close processes.
• Prepare and issue financial statements; maintain general ledger and journal entries.
• Develop new accounting processes as programs/products expand; support budgeting and reporting.
• Provide 50% administrative/clerical support for memberships, HR, and operations.
