Join a dynamic and growing team as a Senior Accountant! We’re looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented accounting professional with strong full-cycle accounting experience, preferably from the financial services, lending, or loan-related industry.
This role is ideal for someone with a solid accounting foundation who understands not only how to record transactions, but also their overall impact on financial statements and business operations. You’ll play a key role in managing accounting operations, supporting reporting accuracy, improving processes, and collaborating with both local and international stakeholders—all while enjoying the flexibility of a hybrid work setup.
Manage full-cycle accounting and financial reporting under ASPE
Handle international loan-related transactions, reconciliations, and monthly reports
Oversee Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), invoicing, and bank reconciliations
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and interim financial statements
Analyze accounting transactions and ensure proper financial statement impact
Support accounting system transitions and process improvements
Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely reporting and issue resolution
Utilize accounting and reporting tools such as Great Plains Software (MS Dynamics GP), QuickBooks Online (QBO), CaseWare, and Excel.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Preferably a CPA license holder, but Accounting Degree holders with strong accounting experience are highly encouraged to apply
At least 3–5 years of full-cycle accounting experience
Experience in financial services, lending, or loan-related accounting is highly preferred
Strong knowledge of ASPE and Canadian accounting standards
Exposure to North American companies or markets is an advantage
QBO Certified or with at least 2 years of hands-on QuickBooks Online (QBO) experience
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in CaseWare
Basic knowledge of Great Plains (MS Dynamics GP); experience transitioning between accounting systems is a strong advantage
Strong understanding of end-to-end accounting processes and financial statement impact
Digitally proficient, adaptable, and confident in learning new software and technologies independently
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholder coordination effectively
Detail-oriented, analytical, resourceful, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Willing to work 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Vancouver Time.
Hybrid work arrangement
Primarily remote with seasonal onsite reporting required at least four (4) times per month or as needed.
