We are looking for a Senior General Accountant to support the General Accounting function by delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and driving process improvements. The role requires strong accounting expertise, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial reports for leaders, managers, auditors, and stakeholders.
Prepare complete sets of financial statements and other financial reports.
Summarize current financial status by collecting and analyzing financial information.
Prepare supporting schedules and calculations for GST and income tax returns.
Assist in analyzing and calculating financial requirements of the organization.
Research and respond to finance-related inquiries in a timely manner.
Assist with internal and external audit requirements and documentation.
Prepare and reconcile intercompany accounts.
Prepare and manage lease accounting schedules.
Prepare and maintain fixed asset accounts and supporting documentation.
Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
Support consolidation activities and financial reporting requirements.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the General Accounting function.
Participate in finance projects and other ad hoc tasks as assigned.
Utilize advanced Excel tools and reporting techniques to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Management, or a related field.
CPA designation is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience.
Experience in an international organization or shared services environment is preferred.
Experience with financial consolidation processes.
Strong experience in account reconciliations.
Experience preparing and managing intercompany, lease, and fixed asset accounts.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required; VBA experience is an advantage.
Proven experience in process improvement and automation initiatives.
Experience working within a shared services setup is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Work Arrangement: Initial onsite training for one week, then transition to Work From Home
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
