Job summary

DHL Express is seeking an experienced Security Investigator in Metro Manila to coordinate and investigate security incidents involving assets, personnel and shipments. You will liaise with police, conduct audits, and uphold security programs to protect the company and its customers.

The role requires 5–8 years in law enforcement or equivalent, strong investigative and communication skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of integrity and accuracy.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and investigate all security incidents relating to DHL's assets, personnel and shipments.
• Liaise with police, law enforcement and third party security organizations.
• Uphold security policies to protect shipments, staff and assets.
• Conduct security audits for facilities and processes (GSOP, TAPA, C-TPAT).
• Lodge police reports and represent DHL in court when necessary.
• Maintain the Security Incident Database.
• Assist in the delivery of the SAFE training program.
• Support management in handling complex legal and procedural issues to minimize liability.
• Develop and own specialist training for investigations.
• Security assessment of new products and services; establish security standards.
• Apply analytical processes to gauge losses and develop countermeasures.
• Carry out tasks requested by superiors.

Your Task:

• This position is responsible for the coordination of, and investigations into all security incidents relating to DHL's assets, personnel and shipments carried by DHL.
• This is a stand-alone position required to work independently of other areas within operations. Investigative work will form a large part of the position’s activities, and the holder will be required to liaise with police and other law enforcement agencies as well as third party security organizations.
• Upholding effective security policies and procedures to ensure that DHL's customers' shipments are protected.
• Upholding effective security policies and procedures to ensure that DHL's staff and assets are protected.
• Conduct security audits and assist other departments (e.g GSOP, TAPA, C-TPAT) to conduct audits on company facilities and processes
• Lodge police reports and liaise with the police and courts on criminal investigation matters. If necessary, represent DHL in court proceedings.
• Initiate and maintain law enforcement liaison with local authorities to provide assistance when needed and to exchange information in accordance with company policy.
• Coordinates investigations carried out locally by country or aviation resources and provide support, guidance and expertise to the investigation process and the resulting follow-up activity.
• Manages and Maintains the Security Incident Database for all security incidents
• Conducts investigations into security incidents e.g. loss/theft of shipments, company assets, and criminal acts against property or personnel
• Assist the National Security Manager in the delivery of the SAFE training program
• Assist and guide local and regional management in the handling of often complex legal, personnel and procedural issues and minimize DHL’s exposure to liability in any civil or criminal actions that may result from the incidents investigated
• Apply analytical processes to gauge losses, estimate the probability of recurrence, the financial impact and, most importantly take a pro-active counter measures.
• Development, implementation and ownership of specialist training in the undertaking of investigations and the reporting and follow-up actions that are required for investigations both in-country and Regionally/Globally.
• Security assessment of new products and services; and the establishment of security standards, policies and practices to protect DHL personnel, property, revenues, information and other assets.
• Carry out any task that is required by his or her superiors from time to time.
