Job summary

DHL Express in the Philippines is seeking a logistics operations professional to support the Service Centre. You will process inbound and outbound material, provide shipment information, and assist with administrative tasks within tight time frames.

The role requires knowledge of customs clearance, IATA/DGR, and security protocols, plus strong English and local language communication across teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation, logistics, or import/export operations.
• Knowledge of customs clearance processes and documentation.
• Familiarity with IATA, Dangerous Goods (DGR), and airport security protocols.
• Strong communication skills in English and local language (spoken & written).
• Attention to detail, planning and time management abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a team environment.
• Valid driver’s license; forklift license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs network and administrative duties for the Service Centre to process inbound/outbound material and provide shipment information within tight time-frames.
• Carry out administrative tasks required for the Service Centre.
• Assist in ensuring operational practices and procedures are carried out effectively.
• Process inbound material on arrival and ensure availability to couriers; secure non-delivery material per policy.
• Process outbound material according to latest processes and procedures.
• Capture shipment information for the network, piece or handling unit per standard procedures.
• Ensure equipment is operating and take corrective actions; be proactive when standards fall.
• Keep the process area clean, tidy, and ready for the next cycle.
• Influence decisions through value-added inputs, despite no direct reports.

Your Task:

• Performs network and administrative duties on behalf of the Service Centre in order to process material (both inbound and outbound) and provide network and shipment information often within tight time-frames.
• Carry out any administrative task that is required for the Service Centre
• Assist in ensuring operational practices and procedures are carried out effectively
• Process inbound material upon arrival and make sure material is available to the couriers and that material not going out for delivery is secured according to the Security policy and procedures
• Process outbound material according to the latest processes and procedures
• Capture information - and make available to the Network - information required for a shipment, piece or handling unit at the service center according to the standard procedures
• Ensure that all relevant equipment is operating and take corrective actions where equipment failure and to be proactive through acting where equipment is falling below operating standards
• Keep the process area clean and tidy and make sure it is ready for the next process cycle
• Incumbent has no direct reports and authority over country line and functional personnel. Nevertheless he/she must be able to demonstrate ability to influence decisions/actions through provision of value-added inputs into the organization’s business processes

What you bring?

• 1–3+ years’ experience in transportation, logistics, or import/export operations
• Experience in DHL and knowledge of Network Control activities following Company training
• Knowledge of customs clearance processes and documentation
• Familiarity with IATA, Dangerous Goods (DGR), and airport security protocols
• Strong communication skills (English and local language, spoken & written)
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Good planning, organizing, and time management abilities
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure
• Strong results-oriented mindset
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• High level of accountability and professionalism
• Ability to stay calm and perform under pressure
• Valid driver’s license (forklift license is a plus)
