Job summary
Ajinomoto Philippines Corporation is seeking a Section Manager – Procurement (Raw Materials) in Makati. This hybrid role leads sourcing strategies, supplier relationships, and contract negotiations to ensure a reliable, cost-effective supply of materials.
You will collaborate with Production, Planning, QA, Finance and R&D; monitor inventory and forecasts; drive process improvements; and develop the procurement team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- 5–8 years in procurement or supply chain.
- 2–3 years in supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience in strategic sourcing and supplier management.
- Experience in manufacturing/food/FMCG/pharma/chemical industry preferred.
- Certifications (CPSM, CIPS, CPP) or Master's advantageous.

We're Hiring: Section Manager - Procurement (Raw Materials)
Location: Makati City

Work Setup: Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day WFH; no weekends)

We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Section Manager – Procurement (Raw Materials) to lead sourcing and procurement activities for raw materials. This role is responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, optimizing procurement processes, and ensuring a reliable and cost-effective supply of materials while maintaining compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials.
Lead supplier sourcing, evaluation, accreditation, and performance management.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms to achieve cost savings and business objectives.
Oversee procurement operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with Production, Planning, QA, Finance, and R&D to support business and operational requirements.
Monitor inventory levels, demand forecasts, and material availability to minimize supply risks.
Drive procurement process improvements, digitalization, and operational efficiency initiatives.
Manage supplier audits, risk assessments, and sustainability initiatives.
Lead and develop the procurement team to achieve departmental goals and continuous improvement.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Logistics, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 5–8 years of procurement or supply chain experience, including at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role
Proven experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, and procurement operations
Experience in the manufacturing, food, FMCG, pharmaceutical, or chemical industry is highly desirable
Professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS, CPP) or a Master's degree are an advantage but not required
