Job summary
Ajinomoto Philippines Corporation is seeking a Section Manager – Logistics to lead warehouse and transport operations at our Makati site. The role focuses on ensuring efficient distribution, inventory accuracy, and cost-effective logistics performance, while coordinating with 3PL partners and driving continuous improvement.
You will oversee day-to-day logistics activities, develop training for the team, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, in a hybrid work setup.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain operations.
- Experience in managing warehouse operations, distribution, or third-party logistics providers.
- Proficient in SAP, WMS, and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse and transport operations with focus on service levels and accuracy.
- Manage distribution activities to achieve DIFOT targets.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks across logistics and distribution processes.
- Monitor capacity and implement contingency plans during peak periods.
- Coordinate with 3PL providers including selection, accreditation, and performance.
- Support cost optimization and efficiency initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Develop training plans and capability building for the logistics team.
- Analyze logistics data to provide actionable insights.

We are looking for a driven and analytical Section Manager – Logistics to oversee warehouse and transport operations, ensuring efficient distribution, inventory accuracy, and cost-effective logistics performance. This role is key in managing day-to-day operations, coordinating with third-party providers, and driving continuous improvement across the supply chain..
Oversee daily warehouse and transport operations to ensure high service levels and inventory accuracy
Manage distribution activities to achieve on-time and in-full (DIFOT) delivery targets
Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks across logistics and distribution processes
Monitor warehouse capacity and implement contingency plans during peak periods
Coordinate with 3PL/TPL partners including selection, accreditation, and performance management
Support logistics cost optimization and operational efficiency initiatives
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
Develop training plans and capability building for logistics team members
Analyze logistics data and provide actionable insights to improve operations
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field
At least 5-7 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain operations
Experience in managing warehouse operations, distribution, or third-party logistics providers
Proficient in SAP, WMS, and MS Excel
Experience in handling operational challenges such as capacity constraints and service issues
Strong knowledge of warehouse and transport operations
Experience in ERP systems (SAP) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (RCA is a plus)
Financial awareness in logistics cost and budget management
Knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
Ability to analyze data and translate into operational insights
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
