Job summary

Maersk Filipinas Crewing Inc. (Marine People Philippines) is seeking a competent Second Cook with relevant seagoing experience to join our galley on modern container vessels.

The role offers training and growth as you contribute to ship operations and onboard dining standards. You will manage provisioning, assist with purchasing and administration, and ensure compliance with safety and PPE requirements while maintaining high levels of cleanliness and European cuisine quality aboard sea-going

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months experience as Second Cook/Messman on foreign going ships of relevant size/type.
• Working knowledge of spoken English.
• Experience with international cuisine, especially European foods.
• Handling of provisions, purchasing, accounting, and administration.
• Knowledge of PPE.
• Knowledge of emergency procedures (Fire-Abandon ship-Man overboard-Oil Spill).
• Awareness of safety meetings, reporting near miss, incidents, accidents.
• Certificates compliant to STCW 2010 Manila amendments requirements.
