Job summary

Amanpulo in the Cuyo Archipelago, Palawan, Philippines, invites applications for a Commis to join our ultra-luxury kitchen team. The role focuses on basic food preparation, maintaining a clean workstation, and supporting senior chefs during service.

You will follow food safety standards, prepare mise-en-place, and ensure recipes and presentation meet our high quality and cost-control requirements. The position requires teamwork, adaptability, and a professional, disciplined approach.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
• Familiarity with food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and proper food handling practices.
• Ability to follow standard recipes, portioning guidelines, and food presentation standards.
• Good attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency and quality in food preparation.
• Team oriented and able to work under senior chefs in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all kitchen equipment, tools, and utensils are clean and ready for use.
• Reviews daily menu items and informs Chef in charge of unavailable items.
• Prepares mise-en-place for assigned area to ensure timely prep.
• Prepares food according to recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards.
• Monitors inventory and informs Chef of replenishment needs.
• Assists in garnishes, vegetables, and other ingredients for production.
• Follows established procedures to maintain quality and cost control.
• Maintains personal hygiene and clean workstations and surroundings.
• Collaborates with kitchen team and adheres to Chef's guidelines.
