Job summary

Compliant Business Processing seeks a Seafreight Procurement Officer to support FCL volumes across Australia and New Zealand, leveraging CW1 for rate maintenance and tariff updates. The role involves cross-functional support with Commercial and Pricing teams and handling inquiries via the Seafreight inbox.

The position supports a permanent WFH setup (1-month onsite training), with benefits including HMO and Life insurance, multiple shifts, internet allowance, and a PC provided.

Qualifications

• Familiar with ocean freight procedures and understanding of freight forwarding / Shipping industry.
• Experience with Cargowise system (CW1) preferred.
• Strong attention to details and pro-active attitude.
• Previous experience in a similar role (i.e. pricing, sales support, procurement etc.)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail
• Self-motivating and goal orientated with ability to work under pressure
• Able to work collectively and independently and is flexible with hours due to nature of role and peak seasons (e.g. tender season)

Responsibilities

• Support the development and growth of FCL volumes across Australia and New Zealand.
• Provide support to Commercial and Pricing teams across Australia and New Zealand on ocean freight-related topics.
• Assist with the review and maintenance of Australian local ocean freight tariffs.
• Assist with FAK rate analysis, including preparing and distributing FAK information to the network and sharing relevant updates with Customer Service.
• Upload and maintain rates in internal database, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
• Maintain FAK free time and rate files, ensuring information remains accurate and up to date.
• Maintain Detention and Demurrage files, including carrier-specific charges and applicable free-time periods.
• Support the management of the Seafreight Procurement inbox, monitoring enquiries and coordinating responses with the relevant team members.
• Maintain Freight Surcharge and carrier local charges files, ensuring the information is accurate and up to date.
• Upload and maintain carrier announcements in SharePoint, ensuring the latest information is available to the network.
• Handle and coordinate local and overseas enquiries relating to FCL rates and services, escalating where required.
• Support and cross-train with the Procurement team where required, assisting with carrier-related activities and market information.
