Job summary

Deltek, Inc. seeks a Salesforce Development TechLead to lead and grow a Salesforce engineering team. You will mentor six engineers, drive best practices, and oversee both declarative and programmatic development across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.

The role requires hands-on Apex, LWC, and integration work, with strong DevOps experience (Gearset or Copado, GitHub) and the ability to coordinate with a USA-based team and global customers.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Salesforce development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and/or Experience Cloud.
• Proven people leadership and technical leadership experience managing a Salesforce team.
• Hands-on Lightning development experience: Apex, Flows, SOQL/SOSL, LWC.
• Strong SDLC and modern DevOps experience (Gearset or Copado, GitHub).
• Experience building integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, OAuth, SSO; familiarity with Workato and major connected apps.
• Experience managing sandbox and production environments and release processes.
• Proficiency writing test classes, triggers, and applying Apex design patterns.
• Knowledge of Agile ceremonies; experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Ability to work with US-based teams (ET hours) and communicate effectively.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/Business or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a Salesforce engineering team (Administrators and Developers).
• Coordinate with USA-based team and supporting customers in a matrixed framework.
• Develop Salesforce features across configuration and code (Apex, Flows, LWC).
• Promote declarative-first solutioning and governance; refactor to declarative where possible.
• Own SDLC and release processes using Gearset/Copado and GitHub.
• Build integrations with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, OAuth, SSO; utilize Workato for ETL.
• Enforce code standards, lead reviews, and ensure scalable architectures.
• Stay current with Salesforce releases and platform innovations.
• Provide Tier 2/3 escalation support and release documentation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable, impactful solutions.
• Leverage AI to accelerate development, testing, and support.
