The Sales Manager – Manila-Based is responsible for driving revenue and expanding
the resort’s presence in the Metro Manila market through new business development,
key account management and proactive market representation.
Reporting to the Director of Sales, the position is the resort’s primary sales
representative in Manila, responsible for achieving assigned sales targets, developing
strategic accounts and generating room, corporate, government, leisure and MICE
business.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Revenue Generation
- Identify, prospect and secure new business across corporate, government, travel agencies, tour operators, MICE, associations, luxury travel advisors and strategic partners.
- Develop strategic partnerships generating qualified wedding and social event referrals, in coordination with the Director of Sales.
- Monitor account production and implement account development actions where required.
- Work closely with Revenue Management and Reservations to maximize business conversion.
2. Account Management & Market Coverage
- Build strong relationships with decision-makers, travel buyers and industry stakeholders.
- Conduct regular sales calls, client presentations, business reviews, site inspections and networking activities.
- Execute monthly sales action plans and maintain consistent coverage of Metro Manila and assigned territories.
- Represent the resort at trade shows, travel fairs, roadshows, sales missions and
- other relevant industry events.
3. Sales Administration & Reporting
- Maintain accurate account and activity records in the CRM.
- Prepare regular sales activity, production, pipeline and revenue forecast reports.
- Ensure timely submission of proposals, contracts and other required sales documentation.
- Provide relevant market intelligence and competitor updates to the Director of Sales.
4. Internal Coordination
- Work closely with the Director of Sales, Revenue Management, Reservations, Front Office, Banquets & Events and Operations to ensure effective conversion and delivery of business.
- Coordinate the handover of confirmed business to operational teams to ensure a seamless client experience.
- Refer qualified wedding and social event leads to the Director of Sales/TAG for proposal, conversion and event coordination while maintaining the client relationship.
- Participate actively in sales meetings, commercial reviews and business planning.
Qualifications & Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Tourism, Marketing or related field.
- 5–8 years of hotel sales experience in Manila, preferably within an upper-upscale or luxury hotel/resort environment.
- Strong established network within corporate, government, travel and MICE sectors.
- Proven track record in business development and key account management.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organized, commercially driven and results-oriented.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
