Job summary

TOKAGAWA GLOBAL CORPORATION is seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to lead the company’s sales activities, develop new business opportunities, manage client relationships, and achieve revenue targets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Communications, or a related field.
  • At least three years of experience in sales, account management, or business development.
  • At least one year of experience in a sales supervisory or managerial position.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales and revenue targets.
  • Experience managing a sales team and handling major accounts is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Filipino.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM systems, spreadsheets, and online communication tools.
  • Able to manage multiple accounts, proposals, and deadlines.

Job Summary

We are looking for a results-driven and experienced Sales Manager to lead the company’s sales activities, develop new business opportunities, manage client relationships, and achieve revenue targets.

The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing sales strategies, managing and coaching the sales team, monitoring the sales pipeline, preparing proposals, negotiating with clients, and ensuring consistent follow-up from initial inquiry through closing and collection.

The ideal candidate should be a strong leader and communicator with proven experience in business development, account management, negotiation, and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Planning
  • Develop and implement monthly, quarterly, and annual sales plans.

  • Establish sales targets for the department and individual sales team members.

  • Identify target markets, customer segments, industries, and business opportunities.

  • Develop strategies to increase revenue, market presence, and customer acquisition.

  • Analyze sales performance, market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.

  • Recommend pricing, promotions, packages, incentives, and sales initiatives.

  • Prepare sales forecasts and revenue projections for management.

Sales Team Management
  • Recruit, train, supervise, coach, and evaluate sales representatives.

  • Assign sales territories, accounts, leads, and responsibilities.

  • Conduct regular sales meetings, coaching sessions, and performance reviews.

  • Monitor each salesperson’s leads, client meetings, proposals, follow-ups, and closed sales.

  • Help team members address client objections and improve their closing skills.

  • Set clear performance expectations and hold team members accountable for results.

  • Recommend sales incentives, commissions, recognition programs, and corrective actions.

Business Development
  • Identify and pursue new customers, corporate accounts, partnerships, and projects.

  • Generate leads through referrals, networking, cold outreach, events, online platforms, and partnerships.

  • Build relationships with key decision-makers, property owners, companies, organizations, and government representatives when applicable.

  • Attend meetings, presentations, trade events, and business functions on behalf of the company.

  • Develop new sales channels and referral partnerships.

  • Maintain an active pipeline of short-term and long-term opportunities.

Client Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.

  • Understand client requirements and recommend appropriate products, services, or solutions.

  • Conduct presentations, site visits, demonstrations, and client consultations.

  • Respond promptly to inquiries, requests for quotations, and client concerns.

  • Ensure that clients receive accurate information regarding pricing, specifications, timelines, warranties, and payment terms.

  • Handle major accounts, sensitive negotiations, and important client concerns.

  • Maintain regular communication with clients after the sale to encourage repeat business and referrals.

Proposals and Negotiations
  • Prepare and review quotations, proposals, presentations, contracts, and commercial offers.

  • Ensure that all pricing, discounts, payment terms, and commitments are properly authorized.

  • Negotiate pricing, terms, scope, delivery schedules, and contract conditions with clients.

  • Coordinate with management, legal, finance, operations, and technical teams before finalizing agreements.

  • Ensure that proposals accurately reflect the company’s capabilities and approved terms.

  • Prevent unauthorized discounts, promises, or changes to commercial conditions.

Sales Pipeline and Follow-Up
  • Maintain an updated record of leads, prospects, proposals, negotiations, and closed accounts.

  • Ensure that all leads and client inquiries are followed up promptly.

  • Monitor the progress of each opportunity from initial contact to contract signing.

  • Identify stalled opportunities and develop actions to move them forward.

  • Maintain accurate client information and activity records in the company’s CRM or tracking system.

  • Analyze lost sales and recommend improvements to pricing, products, or sales strategies.

Coordination with Other Departments
  • Coordinate with operations, technical, purchasing, finance, marketing, and management teams.

  • Ensure that client requirements are properly endorsed after a sale is completed.

  • Confirm that delivery, installation, implementation, or service commitments are achievable.

  • Coordinate with accounting regarding billing, collections, payment terms, and outstanding balances.

  • Work with marketing on campaigns, lead generation, promotional materials, and events.

  • Communicate client feedback and market requirements to relevant departments.

Sales Reporting and Performance Monitoring
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.

  • Report on leads, meetings, proposals, closed sales, revenue, collections, and pipeline value.

  • Track sales conversion rates, average transaction value, sales cycle, and team productivity.

  • Compare actual results against targets and forecasts.

  • Identify sales challenges and recommend corrective actions.

  • Present sales performance, forecasts, and opportunities to management.

  • Ensure that sales records are accurate and supported by proper documentation.

Collections and Account Monitoring
  • Coordinate with accounting regarding client payment schedules and outstanding receivables.

  • Assist in following up overdue accounts professionally.

  • Ensure that sales representatives understand the approved payment terms for each account.

  • Monitor whether client payments meet the requirements for delivery, installation, or service activation.

  • Help resolve disputes involving billing, pricing, scope, or contract terms.

  • Ensure that commissions are processed only for valid, documented, and qualified sales.

Customer Service and Retention
  • Ensure that clients receive professional service throughout the sales process.

  • Handle escalated complaints and coordinate appropriate solutions.

  • Monitor client satisfaction and identify opportunities for service improvement.

  • Develop strategies to retain customers and increase repeat purchases.

  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.

  • Protect the company’s reputation by ensuring honest and professional sales practices.

Compliance and Professional Conduct
  • Ensure that the sales team complies with company policies, approved pricing, and ethical standards.

  • Protect confidential client information, company records, pricing, and business strategies.

  • Prevent misrepresentation, unauthorized commitments, falsification, or improper handling of payments.

  • Ensure that contracts and client documents are properly completed and filed.

  • Immediately report suspected fraud, conflicts of interest, or unethical sales practices.

  • Represent the company professionally in all meetings and communications.
