Position Summary: The High Voltage Sales Supervisor is responsible for leading the High Voltage Sales Engineering Team in achieving sales targets, providing technical sales support, and delivering solutions to customers in the power distribution industry. The role supervises sales engineers, oversees the preparation of technical proposals and quotations, builds strong customer relationships, and ensures that projects are managed efficiently from inquiry to order completion. The High Voltage Sales Supervisor also works closely with the Sales Manager, Product Management, and other departments to drive business growth and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Duties And Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Sales Supervision
- Supervise, coach, and develop the High Voltage Sales Engineers to achieve individual and team sales objectives.
- Monitor daily sales activities, customer engagements, project pipelines, and sales opportunities.
- Conduct regular team meetings, technical discussions, and performance coaching sessions.
- Assist in onboarding and mentoring newly hired Sales Engineers.
Technical Sales and Business Development
- Support the Sales Team in promoting high-voltage electrical products and engineered solutions to customers.
- Conduct customer visits, technical presentations, and product demonstrations to understand project requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, utilities, industrial clients, and other key customers.
- Identify new business opportunities and support market expansion initiatives.
Project and Sales Coordination
- Review technical proposals, quotations, bid documents, and project specifications for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with Product Management, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Operations to ensure timely delivery of customer requirements. Monitor project progress and customer requirements from inquiry through order completion.
- Ensure compliance with company pricing policies, technical standards, and sales procedures.
Performance Monitoring and Process Improvement
- Monitor sales targets, forecasts, and project pipelines, and prepare reports for Management.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify business opportunities.
- Recommend improvements to sales processes, technical support, and customer service.
- Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of customer records and sales activities within the company's CRM or ERP system.
General Leadership and Technical Support
- Represent the company during technical meetings, site visits, proproject discussionsnd industry events.
- Provide technical guidance and support to customers and internal teams regarding high-voltage products and applications.
- Perform other sales engineering, supervisory, technical, business development, and administrative duties as may be assigned by the Sales Manager, CEO, or Managing Partner, provided such duties are reasonably related to the nature, objectives, and scope of the High Voltage Sales Supervisor position.
Approval Authority
The High Voltage Sales Supervisor is authorized to approve the following within approved company policies and delegated authority:
- Technical review of quotations, proposals, and bid documents before endorsement.
- Daily work assignments, customer visits, and project assignments of the High Voltage Sales Engineering Team.
- Technical recommendations and product selections in accordance with company standards.
- Routine project coordination and sales documentation.
- Team schedules, field assignments, and customer visit plans. Other technical sales administrative matters delegated by the Sales Manager or Management. The High Voltage Sales Supervisor is not authorized to approve pricing exceptions, major discounts, customer credit limits, contractual commitments, or financial obligations unless specifically authorized by the Sales Manager, CEO, or Managing Partner.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- Registered Electrical Engineer (REE) is highly preferred.
Work Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in technical sales, sales engineering, or business development within the electrical or power distribution industry.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Proven experience in high-voltage electrical equipment, power distribution systems, substations, switchgear, protection systems, transformers, or related products.
- Experience working with utilities, industrial plants, EPC contractors, consultants, or electrical contractors is highly preferred.
- Experience in preparing technical proposals, tenders, and project quotations.

- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and customer requirements simultaneously.
- Willing to travel nationwide for customer visits, project meetings, and site inspections.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to drive for business-related activities.
