Job summary

Zamboanga Nickel Corporation is seeking a skilled OSH supervisor to oversee daily safety programs on site. You will conduct inspections, monitor PPE use, and lead toolbox talks to promote a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities include incident investigations, reporting, coordinating drills, and ensuring compliance with environmental, health and safety standards for mining/construction operations. Shift work and field assignments are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science or related field.
• Licensed Engineer and/or accredited Safety Officer preferred.
• Experience supervising occupational safety and health.
• Knowledge of OSH standards, risk assessment, incident investigation and emergency response.
• Strong leadership, communication, and report-writing abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Willing to work in shifting schedules and field assignments.

• Ensure environmental, health and safety standards in mining/construction.

Job Duties:

• Supervise daily implementation of OSH programs on site
• Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
• Monitor proper use of PPE by all personnel
• Conduct toolbox meetings, safety orientations and safety briefings
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions and prepare corresponding reports
• Recommend corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence of incidents
• Coordinate emergency preparedness and response activities including drills and evacuation procedures

• Assists in preparation and submission of reports required by government agencies

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science or related field
• Preferably a licensed Engineer and/or accredited Safety Officer
• With relevant experience in occupational safety and health supervision
• Knowledgeable in OSH standards, risk assessment, incident investigation and emergency response
• Strong leadership, communication and report-writing skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Willing to work on shifting schedules and field assignments

Certifications required:

• COSH/BOSH Training
• Safety Officer Certification
• First Aid and Basic Life Support Training
• PCO Training (preferred)
