Job summary

Tomodachi Global Resources Inc. is seeking a Safety Officer to proactively identify workplace hazards through risk assessments and implement preventative measures to minimize accidents and injuries.

The role includes conducting safety orientations, investigating accidents, and documenting incidents for DOLE reporting, while promoting a culture of safety across the organization. You will also coordinate WAIR and HIRAC activities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, performing

Responsibilities

• Identify hazards through risk assessments to minimize accidents and injuries.
• Recommend and implement preventative measures based on risk assessments.
• Conduct safety orientations and toolbox talks for all employees.
• Investigate root causes of accidents or near misses to prevent recurrence.
• Document incidents and report to the proper authorities.
• Act as advocate for a safe work culture and clearly communicate safety protocols.
• Perform WAIR and identify HIRAC activities.
• File mandatory DOLE reports such as WAIR, Semi-Annual and Annual Reports.

Job description

When accidents or near misses occur, Safety Officers investigate the root cause to prevent similar incidents from happening again. Safety Officer must document these incidents and report them to the proper authorities.

Act as advocates for a safe work culture. Have a clear communication of safety protocols and the importance of following them to all employees within the organization.

Doing WAIR and identify HIRAC activities

Responsible for filing mandatory reports with the DOLE, such as Work Accident/Incident Report (WAIR), Semi-Annual Report, Annual Report and other related reports required set by DOLE.
