Job summary

Lionheart Farms Philippine Corp is seeking a Safety Officer to establish, implement, and monitor OSH policies across production, warehouse, and farm operations in line with government regulations.

You will conduct inspections, lead hazard assessments (HIRADC, JHA), oversee safe use of chemicals and machinery, and coordinate training and drills. This role requires strong leadership and a hands-on approach to strengthen safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or any related course
• Certified Safety Officer II or III
• BOSH/COSH 40-Hour Certified
• With HIRADC and Loss Control Management training/certification
• At least two to three years of relevant experience as Safety Officer in manufacturing, construction, agriculture, or related industry
• Knowledgeable in DOLE Occupational Safety and Health Standards and government compliance requirements
• Skilled in safety inspections, incident investigation, risk assessment, and safety training
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and report preparation
• Willing to be assigned in Rizal, Palawan

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) policies, programs, and procedures in compliance with company standards and government regulations
• Conduct regular workplace inspections and safety audits in production, warehouse, farm, and operational areas to ensure compliance with safety standards
• Identify workplace hazards and conduct Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Determining Controls (HIRADC) and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
• Monitor the safe operation of machinery, equipment, tools, and material handling activities
• Ensure proper implementation of safety procedures involving chemicals, fertilizers, fuel, pesticides, and other hazardous substances, when applicable
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and prepare reports with corrective and preventive action recommendations
• Ensure strict compliance with internal safety policies, standard operating procedures, and government regulations, including DOLE OSH standards
• Conduct safety orientation, toolbox meetings, drills, seminars, and other OSH training programs for employees and contractors
• Monitor contractor activities and ensure compliance with company safety requirements while inside the company premises
• Oversee workplace repairs, installations, maintenance activities, and other high-risk operations to ensure employee safety
• Maintain and update safety records, inspection reports, permits, incident reports, and other OSH-related documents
• Assist in emergency preparedness and response activities, including fire prevention, evacuation drills, and first aid coordination
• Recommend corrective and preventive measures to minimize operational risks and workplace incidents
• Coordinate with government agencies during inspections, audits, and compliance activities
• Promote safety awareness and help strengthen a positive safety culture across all company operations
