Job summary

Triton Constructions Development Corporation is seeking a Safety Engineer/Officer in Manila to lead health, safety, and environmental compliance across construction projects. This full-time role develops and oversees safety programmes protecting workers, assets, and operations in line with Philippine regulations and international best practices.

Qualifications

• Valid PRC-licensed Civil Engineer (CE)
• 3–5 years of experience in construction safety
• In-depth knowledge of POSH standards and Building Code
• Certification in construction safety management (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH)
• Strong hazard identification, risk assessment and control measures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in safety documentation and incident reporting

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies aligned with Philippine regulations and international best practices
• Conduct regular site inspections and hazard assessments and implement corrective actions
• Provide safety training and orientation to construction personnel
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses and prepare detailed reports

About the role

Triton Constructions Development Corporation is seeking a Safety Engineer/Officer - Licensed CE to join our growing team in Manila City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental compliance across all our construction projects. As Safety Engineer/Officer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety programmes that protect our workforce, safeguard our operations, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. This position is integral to our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of workplace safety and environmental stewardship across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies, procedures, and programmes aligned with Philippine safety regulations and international best practices

• Conduct regular site inspections and hazard assessments to identify potential risks and implement corrective measures

• Provide safety training and orientation to all construction personnel, including induction programmes and ongoing safety awareness initiatives

• Investigate and document accidents, incidents, and near-misses, preparing detailed reports and recommending preventive actions

• Monitor compliance with safety regulations, standards, and company policies across all construction sites

• Liaise with regulatory authorities and prepare documentation for safety audits and certifications

• Develop and manage emergency response plans and conduct regular safety drills

• Maintain accurate safety records, statistics, and performance metrics

• Advise project management and supervisory staff on safety-related matters and risk mitigation strategies

• Conduct toolbox talks and safety meetings to promote a strong safety culture

What we're looking for

• Valid Professional License as a Civil Engineer (Licensed CE) issued by PRC Philippines

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Safety Engineer or Safety Officer in the construction industry

• In-depth knowledge of Philippine Occupational Safety and Health (POSH) standards, Building Code of the Philippines, and relevant construction safety regulations

• Certification in construction safety management or equivalent qualification (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH, or equivalent recognised certification)

• Strong understanding of hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with workers at all levels

• Proficiency in safety documentation, record-keeping, and incident reporting

• Ability to work effectively in demanding construction environments and manage multiple sites

• Knowledge of environmental management systems and sustainability practices in construction

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and safety management software

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
