UnionBank of the Philippines (UBP) is seeking a Risk Policy Analyst at UB Square, Eastwood, Quezon City. This intermediate-level role conducts reviews and monitoring of the portfolio to identify credit migration in coordination with the Risk Management team.

You will partner with Business, D&A and Credit to manage the portfolio, ensure policy implementation, and provide data-driven insights for risk reporting and decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field is a plus.
• Experience in analytics-focused role; financial/banking industry experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in SAS, Python, SQL or R for data analysis.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

About the Role

The Risk Policy Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for conducting reviews and monitoring of the portfolio to identify credit migration in coordination with the Risk Management team. The overall objective of this role is to manage UnionBank's portfolio exposure to clients.

What You’ll Do

• Work as a team within Risk Management to provide supporting data & analysis in setting risk appetite for the product.
• Partner with Business, D&A and Credit counterparts in managing the portfolio to achieve plan numbers and product sustainability.
• Work with Credit and Business counterparts to ensure correct policy implementation on an operational level.
• Provide supporting data & analytics at on portfolio level and segment level for the purpose of monitoring & policy adjustment to policy with the ultimate goal of managing risk and maximizing rewards
• Partner with Risk Reporting teams, provide supporting data for Credit Risk Reporting and Portfolio Quality Review Reporting, as well as ad-hoc reporting as needed
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding the company, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's degree n Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field is a plus
• With relevant work experience ideally for analytics-focused role in any industry, experience in financial/banking industry is a plus
• SAS, Python, SQL, R or similar programming or data management skills
• Strong analytical skill
• Effective communication as well as presentation skills
• Experience in project management and stakeholder management is nice-to-have
