Job summary

Rebound Electronics (UK) Ltd is seeking an RFQ Specialist to prepare accurate quotations by gathering and analyzing required costing information. You will manage RFQs, BOMs, and quotation requests while supporting the Sales team across departments.

Responsibilities

• Processes customer RFQs, BOMs, and quotation requests accurately and within turnaround time.
• Builds estimates and prices standard and special jobs to keep products competitive and profitable.
• Verifies product descriptions, specifications, pricing, availability, and lead times.
• Coordinates with Sales, Order Processing, Logistics, Warehouse, Suppliers and others to ensure accurate quotes and lead times.
• Supports real-time and high-priority Sales requirements.
• Follows up on quotations and updates quotes as needed.
• Keeps accurate records in CRM and systems with notes and communications.
• Demonstrates strong customer service and problem-solving in quotations.
• Identifies improvements for quotation processes, data accuracy, and turnaround times.

Job description

The RFQ Specialist is responsible for preparing accurate and timely quotations by gathering and analyzing information required for job costing. The role requires strong numerical and analytical skills, attention to detail, product knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The RFQ Specialist manages customer Requests for Quotation (RFQs), Bills of Materials (BOMs), and quotation requests while providing timely support to the Sales team. The role also involves coordinating with relevant departments to ensure accurate pricing, product information, lead times, availability, and other customer requirements are properly addressed.

Key responsibilities

Processes customer RFQs, BOMs, and quotation requests accurately and within the required turnaround time.

Builds estimates and prices standard and special jobs at a level that keeps products competitive and maximizes profit.

Reviews customer requirements and verifies product descriptions, specifications, pricing, availability, and lead times using appropriate resources.

Works with Sales, Order Processing, Logistics, Warehouse, Suppliers, and other departments as needed to ensure accurate quotes and lead times.

Provides timely support for real-time and high-priority Sales requirements as assigned.

Follows up on quotations and modifies quotes as necessary.

Maintains accurate customer, quotation, product, and RFQ information in company systems and CRM, including relevant Sales and quotation-related notes and communication.

Demonstrates strong customer service and problem-solving skills when handling quotation and customer requirements.

Identifies issues and opportunities to improve quotation processes, data accuracy, turnaround times, and team efficiency.
