Job summary

HKM HR Management Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Costing & Quotations Specialist in the Philippines. The role focuses on managing RFQ activities, costing analysis, and coordinating with Sales, Sourcing, Engineering and Manufacturing to prepare accurate, competitive quotations.

Responsibilities include reviewing BOMs, drawings, pricing and supplier quotes, and driving cost reduction opportunities while maintaining thorough records and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in product costing, quotation/RFQ, and supplier evaluation.
• Understanding of manufacturing cost structures including material and labour costs.
• Ability to coordinate costing with Sales, Sourcing, Engineering and Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Manage RFQ activities and prepare competitive quotations within deadlines.
• Review customer requirements, BOM, drawings and specs for accurate costing.
• Analyze costs across materials, labour, tooling, packaging and logistics.
• Review supplier quotations based on price, quantities and lead times.
• Analyze selling prices, margins and volumes to support profitable quotes.
• Coordinate costing data with cross-functional teams.
• Support quotations for new products and prototypes.
• Identify cost drivers and drive cost reductions via alternative materials/processes.
• Maintain accurate quotation records and costing assumptions.
• Support continuous improvement and automation to improve quoting accuracy and turnaround time.

Responsibilities

• Manage Request for Quotation (RFQ) activities and prepare accurate, competitive quotations within the required timelines.


• Review customer requirements, Bill of Materials (BOM), engineering drawings and technical specifications for product costing.


• Analyse material, labour, manufacturing, tooling, packaging, logistics and other related costs to prepare accurate cost estimates.


• Review and evaluate supplier quotations based on pricing, order quantities, lead time, tooling and other commercial factors.


• Analyse product costs, selling prices, profit margins, annual volumes and price breaks to support competitive and profitable quotations.


• Coordinate costing information with Sales, Sourcing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and other cross-functional teams.


• Support quotation activities for new product introductions, prototypes and other manufacturing requirements.


• Identify key cost drivers and work with relevant teams to achieve cost reductions through alternative materials, processes and value-engineering opportunities.


• Maintain accurate quotation records, costing assumptions, historical pricing and supporting documents.


• Support continuous improvement, digitalisation and automation initiatives to improve quotation accuracy, efficiency and turnaround time.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline.


• Relevant experience in product costing, quotation/RFQ, sourcing, engineering, supply chain or manufacturing is preferred.


• Good understanding of manufacturing cost structures, including material, labour, manufacturing processes, tooling and logistics costs.
