Job summary

Symbos is hiring an experienced Travel Consultant specializing in reward flights and Sabre GDS. You will research reward seat availability, compare routing and costs, and build itineraries for Australian, New Zealand, and Fiji clients. You’ll manage end-to-end bookings and advise on points transfer requirements.

The role emphasizes research skills, problem-solving, and clear client communication across travel components, aligning with Australian business hours and a people-first culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Travel Consulting or rewards roles.
• Hands-on Sabre GDS experience is essential.
• Experience with reward seat research and frequent flyer redemptions.
• End-to-end booking experience across airfares, accommodation and ancillaries.
• Strong knowledge of airline alliances, partner award availability and points conversion.
• Solid understanding of fare rules, ticketing, reissues and exchanges.
• Excellent written and verbal English.
• Availability to work hours aligned with the Australian business day.

Responsibilities

• Reward flight research across airline programs to identify best-value options.
• Handle end-to-end bookings including flights, accommodation, ground transport and ancillaries.
• Create clear reward itineraries with alternate dates and routes; advise on points transfer requirements and conversions.
• Monitor availability and manage changes per fare rules and program conditions.
• Provide prompt client service via email, queues and internal messaging; document interactions in CRM and booking systems.
