MGEN Thermal Energy Inc. is seeking a Revenue Analyst in Manila to convert diverse data into reliable revenue insights. You will validate data, run trend analyses, monitor anomalies, and support billing and tariff testing to inform management decisions.
You will maintain dashboards, data dictionaries, and issue trackers, escalating unresolved items to the Revenue Assurance Head as needed. Strong Excel and BI skills are essential.
The Revenue Analyst perform assigned revenue analytics and assurance support by validating source data, preparing trend and driver analyses, supporting leakage and anomaly monitoring, generating dashboards and management report inputs, and maintaining issue trackers and evidence files. The role focuses on converting customer, metering, billing, tariff, operational, and financial data into reliable analysis for review, while escalating unusual patterns, missing data, and potential leakage indicators to the Senior Revenue Officer or Revenue Assurance Head.
Extract, compile, reconcile, and validate assigned customer, meter, billing, tariff, revenue, accounts receivable, operational, and financial data sets for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
Prepare trend analyses, rate-volume-mix summaries, variance explanations, and standard revenue driver commentary to support management reports, forecast inputs, and issue reviews.
Run assigned anomaly checks, leakage indicators, exception reports, and monitoring routines; identify unusual patterns; and prepare initial analysis for reviewer action.
Support bill simulations, rate table checks, tariff testing, adjustment analytics, data mapping checks, and before-and-after analyses for billing or contract changes.
Maintain dashboard inputs, refresh files, data dictionaries, visual summaries, and recurring management schedules with clear assumptions, data sources, and control checks.
Update issue logs, recovery trackers, action lists, data quality logs, and evidence files; coordinate follow-ups with data owners; and elevate unresolved or high-impact items.
Compiles and validates customer, meter, billing, tariff, revenue, accounts receivable, operational, and financial data sets using approved queries, extracts, templates, and checks. Confirms completeness and consistency, documents assumptions, and escalates gaps that may affect reporting or assurance conclusions.
Analyzes recurring revenue movements by volume, rate, tariff, customer, dispatch, outage, and mix drivers. Prepares clear analytical schedules and commentary that explain standard movements and isolate items requiring deeper review.
Runs assigned leakage and anomaly routines to identify missing billings, unusual adjustments, source-data gaps, pricing inconsistencies, outlier usage, or non-technical loss indicators. Prepares initial findings, quantifies potential impact, and tracks reviewer disposition.
Supports recurring bill simulations, tariff table checks, rate mapping, before-and-after analysis, adjustment testing, and data validation for billing or contract changes. Documents test results and flags differences requiring contract, billing, or management review.
Maintains revenue dashboards, recurring management report inputs, data dictionaries, and refresh routines. Produces clear visual summaries and source references that allow reviewers to trace numbers and understand trends.
Maintains control evidence, issue trackers, recovery logs, action lists, and data quality records for assigned analytical routines. Ensures outputs are organized, version-controlled, and sufficiently supported for review and audit use.
Applies structured analysis to isolate drivers, validate assumptions, compare expected versus actual results, and identify practical next steps. Uses facts and evidence to distinguish data errors, timing items, business drivers, and potential control issues.
Presents analytical findings clearly, checks work for accuracy and traceability, and translates data into concise messages for reviewers and stakeholders. Communicates limitations, open items, and actions without overstating conclusions.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or a related discipline.
At least 2 to 5 years of experience in revenue analytics, financial analysis, data validation, billing analytics, management reporting, audit analytics, reconciliation, or business intelligence support. Internship or junior analyst experience in utilities, power, commercial finance, or shared services is an advantage.
Training or certification in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, data analytics, financial analysis, accounting, or process improvement is an advantage.
