Job summary

NorthLight School in the Philippines seeks an experienced retail practitioner to teach Retail Services, drawing on real-world experience to design engaging lessons and demonstrations.

You will mentor students, guide them toward career pathways in retail, and collaborate with parents and community partners to support learning outcomes.

Diploma or higher in Business/Marketing and at least five years in retail are required; teaching experience is helpful but not essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher qualification in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in retail or service-related roles.
• Hands-on experience in retail operations, e-commerce/online retailing, sales, merchandising, visual display and/or customer service.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills and ability to engage with young people.
• Experienced retail practitioners who are new to teaching are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons and hands-on demonstrations in Retail Services.
• Share real-world retail knowledge, practices and industry experiences with students.
• Create effective instructional materials to support student learning.
• Mentor students and model positive professional behaviour.
• Build an industry-relevant and supportive learning environment.
• Guide students in exploring retail and service-sector career pathways.
• Collaborate with parents and community partners to enhance students' learning outcomes.
• Support departmental initiatives, curriculum planning, and continuous improvement efforts.
