The Private Advertiser is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to oversee all housekeeping operations across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, ensuring the highest cleanliness and presentation standards in a hotel setting.
You will lead and develop a team of attendants, coordinate shift schedules, monitor room readiness, and collaborate with Front Office and Engineering to meet guest needs while upholding safety and brand standards for guest satisfaction.
Oversee the overall operations of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring all guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation.
Develop and implement housekeeping standards, procedures, and checklists in accordance with hotel policies and brand standards
Lead, supervise, and motivate housekeeping staff, including Room Attendants, Public Area Attendants, Linen Attendants, and other housekeeping personnel
Prepare daily work assignments, staff schedules, duty rosters, and manpower allocation based on occupancy and operational requirements
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, proper maintenance, and compliance with established standards
Monitor room readiness and coordinate closely with Front Office regarding room status, priority rooms, early arrivals, VIP guests, room transfers, and other guest requirements
Ensure prompt and professional resolution of guest complaints and housekeeping-related concerns
Monitor the proper handling, storage, issuance, and inventory of linens, uniforms, guest amenities, cleaning supplies, and housekeeping equipment
Control housekeeping expenses and ensure efficient use of supplies, chemicals, equipment, and manpower without compromising service quality
Coordinate with the Engineering/Maintenance Department regarding room defects, repairs, preventive maintenance, and other facility concerns
Ensure compliance with hotel policies, occupational safety requirements, sanitation standards, and proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment
Conduct regular training, coaching, and performance evaluations for housekeeping employees to improve productivity, service standards, and professional conduct
Assist in recruitment, selection, onboarding, and training of housekeeping personnel
Maintain a professional, service-oriented relationship with guests and respond appropriately to special requests and concerns
