City Garden Suites is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Manager to lead the department, ensuring guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces meet the highest standards of cleanliness and readiness. You will manage staffing, inventory, budgeting and safety, coordinating closely with Front Office, Engineering, F&B and Security to deliver guest satisfaction and hotel profitability.
The role requires a Bachelor's in Hospitality, at least 5 years of progressive housekeeping experience with
Leads the Housekeeping Department and is accountable for the cleanliness, presentation, readiness, safety and upkeep of guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, linen and uniforms. Ensures efficient manpower deployment, cost control, inventory discipline, service recovery and close coordination with Front Office, Engineering, F&B, Security, Accounting and other departments to support guest satisfaction and hotel profitability.
Ensure guest rooms, corridors, public areas, offices, outlets and immediate hotel surroundings meet approved cleanliness, presentation and maintenance standards
Conduct regular room and public-area inspections, with priority attention to VIPs, arrivals, out-of-order rooms, deep-cleaning requirements and recurring defects
Coordinate daily room prioritization and room blocking with Front Office to support on-time room readiness, room moves, extensions and special guest requirements
Monitor room status accuracy in the property management system and promptly resolve discrepancies between Front Office and Housekeeping
Identify defects in rooms and public areas, raise and monitor job orders with Engineering, and follow through until closure
Maintain appropriate par levels for linen, uniforms, guest supplies, cleaning materials, amenities and operating equipment based on occupancy and operational requirements
Prepare the annual Housekeeping budget, operating plan and departmental goals in line with hotel targets
Plan daily manpower deployment based on occupancy, arrivals/departures, stayovers, public-area requirements, projects and staffing levels
Supervise, coach and evaluate Housekeeping Supervisors and staff; conduct probationary and regular performance reviews in accordance with HR policy
Handle housekeeping-related guest concerns professionally, take ownership of service recovery within authority, and escalation when necessary
Bachelor's degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related field; equivalent hotel experience may be considered
Minimum 5 years of progressive Housekeeping experience in a hotel environment, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity
Strong knowledge of room cleaning standards, public-area operations, linen and uniform control, inventory management, budgeting, chemical handling, sanitation and safety
Working knowledge of hotel property management systems and standard office applications; experience with Opera/Opera Cloud is an advantage
Proven ability to lead teams, organize high-volume operations, manage costs, solve problems and coordinate effectively across departments
Good written and verbal communication skills; able to prepare operational reports, conduct training and handle guest concerns professionally
