Job summary

The Hospital Authority invites applications for the Resident Trainee position (HO2412001). Successful candidates will provide clinical and patient care services while undergoing specialist training in a designated specialty on a capped 9-year contract.

Applicants must hold a Medicine and Surgery degree from HKU or CUHK, or have passed the Medical Council of Hong Kong Licensing Examination. Salary ranges from HK$77,959 to HK$155,089 per month with a potential contract gratuity of up to 15%.

• Degree of Medicine and Surgery awarded by either - i) The University of Hong Kong or ii) The Chinese University of Hong Kong; or
• Passed the Licensing Examination of the Medical Council of Hong Kong.

Pay

HK$77,959 to HK$155,089 per month (including Monthly Allowance).

Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff at the end of each 3 years during the 9-year contract period subject to satisfactory performance.

• a) Obtained a Degree of Medicine and Surgery awarded by either - i) The University of Hong Kong or ii) The Chinese University of Hong Kong; or
• b) Passed the Licensing Examination of the Medical Council of Hong Kong.

• Salary to be offered will be commensurate with relevant experience and qualification, if any, of the selected candidate.
• Short-listed applicants may be invited to attend a selection interview / be assessed by paper board subject to meeting the criteria as decided by the HA. All available intern assessment reports should be submitted with your application. Applicants should also present the required qualifications for full registration with the Medical Council of Hong Kong in April 2025 in Hong Kong.
