Easyeats Food Products Trading Co. is looking for a Research & Development (R&D) Specialist to drive innovation in our food canning manufacturing operations. This role is central to developing new products, refining formulations, optimizing processes, and ensuring strict compliance with food safety standards.

Research emerging trends, raw materials, preservation methods, and processing technologies for canned and shelf‑stable foods.
Develop and formulate new canned food products (recipes, prototypes, product variants, nutritional improvements).
Conduct sensory evaluations, shelf‑life studies, microbial testing, and quality validation.
Enhance existing formulations to improve taste, texture, nutritional value, and cost efficiency.
Collaborate with production, QA, procurement, and marketing teams for successful product rollouts.
Optimize manufacturing processes to boost efficiency, reduce waste, and maintain consistent quality.
Ensure compliance with FDA, BFAD, HACCP, GMP, FSMS, and Philippine food safety regulations.
Prepare technical documentation (product specifications, SOPs, process flows, R&D reports).
Monitor advancements in food processing, packaging, and canning technologies.
Support pilot runs, scale‑up activities, and production trials.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
Hands‑on R&D experience in food manufacturing (preferably canned or processed foods).
Strong knowledge of food formulation, thermal processing, pH control, preservation techniques, and food microbiology.
Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving skills.
Experience in R&D documentation, sensory evaluation, and laboratory testing.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, production‑focused environment. Preferred Skills
Knowledge of retort processing, sealing integrity, and canning machinery.
Familiarity with nutritional labeling, costing, and regulatory submissions.
Experience with prototyping tools, lab equipment, and food processing instrumentation.
Understanding of sustainability practices, innovative packaging, and clean‑label product development.
Background in process optimization, automation, or continuous improvement.
