Job summary

Shane Hummus is seeking a skilled video editor in a fast-growing content-creation environment. You will edit engaging YouTube content on a weekly cadence, collaborating with a Creative Director to translate brand guidelines into retention-focused videos.

A strong portfolio and expert Premiere Pro/After Effects/Photoshop skills are essential. You will work in a tight two-person team and contribute to content strategy, with remote-friendly work arrangements and opportunities for a performance

Qualifications

• Proven experience editing engaging long-form YouTube videos.
• Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and/or Photoshop.
• Strong portfolio showcasing video editing skills and creativity.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
• Strong storytelling instincts and creative problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Edit 3 high-quality long-form landscape videos (15+ minutes) focused on retention, engagement, and YouTube algorithm performance.
• Create 3 thumbnails that capture attention and drive clicks.
• Manage video scheduling & publishing across client channels with organized file management and timelines.
• Partner with the Creative Director on content direction and feedback cycles.
• Maintain consistent brand voice and visual style across all edited content.
• Communicate proactively with the team to meet deadlines and handle urgent requests.
• Brainstorm creative concepts and editing techniques to maximize viewer retention.
