Job summary

Tradewright CPA LLC, a US accounting and fractional CFO firm, seeks a remote video editor to own the edit across long-form and short-form videos. You design weekly thumbnails, craft 20–30 minute YouTube pieces, and produce multiple vertical clips for social platforms.

The role emphasizes the long-form piece and thumbnail quality, with fast, accurate captions and color consistency. 4k editing capability and AI tools proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years editing both long-form and short-form video professionally.
• A portfolio we can watch. Include at least one long-form edit over 10 minutes and several vertical shorts.
• Strong pacing instincts on talking-head content: cutting dead air and maintaining viewer engagement.
• Thumbnail design skill; you design them yourself, AI design tools encouraged.
• Clean captions, audio that is level and pleasant, color staying consistent shot to shot.
• Fluency with AI editing tools and good judgment about when to use them (Descript, Runway, etc.).
• Written English strong enough for all communication in writing.
• Own computer capable of editing 4k.
• Reliable internet with a backup plan.

Responsibilities

• One long-form YouTube video, 20 to 30 minutes, produced weekly.
• One custom thumbnail for the weekly video.
• Four to six vertical clips pulled from the long-form, for Reels, TikTok, Shorts.
• Six to ten shorts-native vertical videos filmed for Instagram.
• We publish; you deliver finished files.
• Long-form video is the center of the job and the main quality measure.
• Ensure fast, clean cuts with accurate captions for all formats.
