Job summary

Nordic Global is seeking a Virtual Apps and Desktops I specialist to ensure the operation, stability, and support of end-user virtualization. You will analyze complex systems, document standards, and implement client software, patches, and related support.

The role covers design, build, and support of virtualization technologies. Responsibilities include SOP adherence, SLA attainment, troubleshooting, and collaboration with vendors while maintaining documentation and security controls.

Qualifications

• College diploma or university degree in computer science, information systems or related field.
• 3+ years IT work experience – or 5+ years if applicable
• Experience in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• On-call availability as part of a 24/7 rotation
• 100% remote, with occasional travel may be needed

Responsibilities

• Ensures SOP compliance
• Meets SLA expectations defined in contracts
• Configure and manage software using virtualization technologies (Citrix/VApps and Omnissa Horizon)
• Troubleshoot published apps and virtual desktops and related systems
• Provide tier 1 build and implementation support
• Assist with evaluating and recommending technical solutions for deployments
• Maintain and revise installation and support documentation
• Coordinate with technical and non-technical staff and vendors
• Act as project resource and mentor teammates
• Apply security measures to reduce risk
• Perform other duties as assigned
