Job summary

Marquee PH EOR Inc is seeking a US Staff Accountant to support a US-based client from the Philippines. You will maintain general ledger records, prepare reconciliations and journal entries, and assist with month-end close and financial statements.

The role requires 3+ years’ accounting experience, a Bachelor’s in a related field, and strong US GAAP knowledge. Night shift availability and strong English communication are essential for collaboration with the US team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience, including U.S. client exposure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Knowledge of US GAAP, general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end processes.
• Ability to prepare supporting schedules, identify discrepancies, and explain items needing review.
• Strong Excel skills: lookups, pivot tables, reconciliation schedules.
• Clear written and spoken English for collaboration with US colleagues.
• Organized, reliable, detail-oriented, able to meet deadlines.
• Available to work Philippine night shift and collaborate with US team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger records for assigned entities, ensuring accurate coding and support.
• Prepare journal entries and schedules, including accruals and prepayments, for review.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts; investigate discrepancies.
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and transaction reviews within scope.
• Complete month-end close tasks within calendar and maintain working papers.
• Prepare draft financial statements and schedules for leadership review.
• Coordinate with accounting colleagues and location contacts to obtain documentation.
• Maintain a daily task tracker of progress, dependencies, and decisions.
• Flag unusual balances and blockers early; document procedures and improvements.
• Handle financial and employee information confidentially per procedures.
