Responsibilities

• Ensure that closing deadlines are met.
• Monitor client bookkeepers for routine postings and coding accuracy.
• Review journals for tie-out to source documents and post to ledger.
• Review posting activity against the closing checklist to ensure month-end entries are posted.
• Advise Accountant Manager of financial irregularities or internal control issues.
• Submit draft financial statements to the Director of Accounting Services by deadlines.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations as part of closing.
