Job summary

BetterPros is seeking a Structural Design Engineer with 1–4 years of experience to support Florida-based projects. You will develop BIM models, perform structural analysis, and prepare construction documents using Revit for multifamily and complex buildings.

The role emphasizes coordination with architects and other engineers, code compliance (IBC/ASCE-7), and mentoring junior staff while delivering accurate calculations and detailed plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Advanced English level.
• 1–4 years of experience in structural engineering.
• Experience on residential multifamily projects.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and RAM.
• Strong grasp of statics, mechanics of materials, and structural analysis.
• Knowledge of concrete, wood framing, and steel framing systems.
• Understanding of model building codes (FBC, IBC) and ASCE-7.
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks.
• Attention to detail and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D BIM and structural analysis models for projects of varying complexity.
• Perform structural analysis and detailing for steel, concrete, masonry, and timber systems.
• Prepare Construction Documents using Autodesk Revit.
• Coordinate structural design with architects and other disciplines.
• Review submittals and RFIs of varying complexity.
• Conduct construction observation and inspections for projects.
• Prepare organized structural calculations and high-quality plans.
• Log time daily and report progress to the Project Manager.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers when needed.
• Maintain accuracy and consistency across deliverables and reports.
