Job summary

Realcognita in the Philippines is seeking a seasoned Structural Engineer to model, detail, and review precast concrete elements using Tekla Structures. You will read and interpret structural and architectural drawings, assess loads and connections, and ensure modeling faithfully reflects design intent.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as Structural Engineer.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Recent experience with precast concrete in commercial/industrial buildings.
• Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures and Concrete Structures.
• Familiarity with BIM software such as Revit.

Responsibilities

• Modeling, detailing precast concrete elements in Tekla.
• Read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
• Understand structural behavior and propose solutions.
• Review architectural/structural plans and integrate into Tekla models.
• Create and manage shop drawings following standards and ensuring accuracy.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to resolve design challenges.

Job Responsibilities:

• Modeling, detailing, and drafting expertise with a strong focus on precast concrete elements.
• Reading and interpreting structural and architectural drawings.
• Understanding structural behavior, including how elements connect and interact within a residential building.Knowledge of structural loads, compression, tension forces, and overall building performance and the capability to suggest structural solutions.
• Review and analyze architectural and structural plans to understand project requirements and integrate them into Tekla models.
• Precast modeling structures with precision in the Tekla environment, following established company standards and ensuring compatibility with design intent.
• Shop drawing creation and management generate, review, and issue detailed shop drawings that adhere to industry standards, ensuring accuracy and completeness for production.
• Worked with different engineers and project managers to address structural and design challenges, proposing practical solutions as needed.
• Contribute to the improvement of design and modeling processes, helping to streamline workflows and enhance productivity within the drafting and engineering team.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of working experience as a Structural Engineer or similar role.
• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
• Must have a recent experience in the precast concrete and commercial and industrial buildings.
• Strong proficiency in Tekla and Concrete Structures for modeling and detailing.
• Familiarity with other BIM software, Revit, and drafting tools.
