Manila Recruitment is seeking a Staff Accountant for a remote role serving a US homebuilder. You will own day‑to‑day bookkeeping, month‑end close, and financial reporting while coordinating vendor payables and project accounts for active residential construction projects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years US accounting experience, proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel, and the ability to work independently in a remote setup with a reliable internet connection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or relevant accounting degree.
• Minimum 5 years of general US accounting, bookkeeping, and accounts payable experience.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with QuickBooks.
• Proficient in MS Excel and any other accounting or office software.
• Prior experience with US-based clients or outsourced finance setups.
• Strong attention to detail when coding costs to projects.
• Experience managing multiple vendor relationships and deadlines.
• Clear, professional written communication for vendors and internal teams.
• Strong organizational skills for maintaining compliance records.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup with reliable internet.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts and post journal entries.
• Lead month-end close and review account balances for accuracy.
• Prepare monthly financial statements including consolidated reports.
• Maintain general ledger and chart of accounts with proper coding.
• Process vendor invoices and match to POs, allocate costs to projects.
• Monitor accounts payable aging and ensure timely payments.
• Process weekly check runs and related payments.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and audits as needed.
