Job summary

Halo Recruiting is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team in a fully remote capacity. You will support the Director of Finance, ensuring accurate daily reporting, month-end close, and cross-entity accounting across multiple business units.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of related experience, inventory background, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with QuickBooks Online.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years related experience.
Experience using QuickBooks Online is a plus.
Inventory background/experience is a must.
Multi-Entity business experience preferred.
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and data manipulation.
Multi-site enterprise experience (accounting for a portfolio of business entities).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate confidently across all levels of management.
Detail knowledge of accounting and reconciliations management.

Responsibilities

Execute AP function daily to ensure that all Companies are caught up in their daily reporting.
Create cash requirements workpaper on a weekly basis to ensure proper funding to all companies.
Prepare and record recurring monthly journal entries for depreciation, leases, revenue and cost of sales.
Prepare monthly reconciliation for a selection of balance sheet accounts and for credit card transactions.
Test and verify cost of goods sold values against inventory and cost of sales reports.
Assist with maintaining construction budget files as payments are made.
Assist in preparing month end close packet.
Assist with analytics and projects across all business segments as needed.
Maintain Chart of Accounts so that they are uniform over all business entities.
